Dada Saheb Phalke was admitted to JJ School of Mumbai by Phalke's father in 1885, after passing JJ School in 1890, he enrolled under Phalke Maharaja Sayajirao University, which is located in Vadodara.

By 1937, he had produced 95 films and 25 short films so far, he had produced all kinds of films till his 19-year career.
 In 1969, a prize named after him by the Government of India was declared lifelong, named Dada Saheb Phalke Award.
Dada Saheb Phalke had worked very hard and very passionately about his first film, Raja Harishchandra, under Raja Harishchandra, he also took help of his family members, in which his wife also played a key role in Raja Harishchandra Picture.
